Terms & Conditions

The terms on which Powerline Group provides its services.

Last updated: 8 June 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Powerline Group website and the electrical services we provide. By submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation, or engaging us to carry out work, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About us

Powerline Group ("we", "us", "our") is a family run firm of NICEIC approved electricians based in London, providing electrical installation, testing, maintenance and repair services across Greater London.

2. Quotations and pricing

Quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. A quotation is based on the information available to us at the time and the scope of work agreed. If the scope changes, or if additional work is required that could not reasonably have been foreseen, we will discuss and agree any variation in cost with you before proceeding. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and, where applicable, are subject to VAT.

3. Bookings, access and cancellations

When you accept a quotation we will agree a date for the work. You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property and the areas in which work is to be carried out. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible. We reserve the right to charge for materials already purchased or works already commenced where a cancellation is made at short notice.

4. Our work and certification

All work is carried out by qualified electricians to the current edition of BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations) and in accordance with Part P of the Building Regulations where applicable. On completion of notifiable work we will provide the appropriate certification (for example an Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Works Certificate).

5. Guarantee and warranties

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. Materials and equipment we install are covered by the relevant manufacturer's warranty. The guarantee does not cover faults arising from misuse, third party interference, alterations by others, or normal wear and tear.

6. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of the work in accordance with the agreed quotation. For larger projects we may agree a deposit or staged payments in advance. We will make our accepted payment methods clear at the time of booking.

7. Your statutory rights and our liability

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law. Our services will be provided with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

8. Website use and intellectual property

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
